About Petrichor
What is Sweat Care?
Sweat is normal. Healthy, even. But while skincare became science-led and haircare got its moment, our sweaty skin got left behind. The same basic deodorant. The same generic body wash. Nothing built around how your body actually works. Sweat Care is our answer: a complete, microbiome-friendly system for bodies that sweat, move and show up every day.
Who is Petrichor for?
Anyone with a body that sweats. Particularly the ones with full lives, early mornings and no patience for products that let them down.
What makes Petrichor different?
Most products mask the problem. Petrichor addresses it from every angle. A complete system that reduces sweat, controls odour and supports your skin. Science-led formulations that work with your microbiome, not against it.
Our Products
What's different between the deodorant and the body spray?
The Antiperspirant Deodorant is your daily underarm protection. It reduces sweat and controls odour at the source. The Deodorising Body Spray is your all-over refresh, designed for skin, clothes and on-the-go use throughout the day. Different jobs, same system.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Every Petrichor product is formulated with soothing actives to minimise irritation. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test before full use — apply a small amount to the crook of your elbow and leave for 24 hours.
How is Petrichor sustainable?
We're a small business doing this thoughtfully. Our bottles are made with PCR plastic (post-consumer recycled material), and both the bottle and box are fully recyclable. All products are formulated and manufactured in Australia. There's always more to do, and we're committed to keep working on it.

Science
What does microbiome-balancing mean?
Your skin hosts billions of bacteria and most of them are working in your favour. Conventional deodorants and body washes often wipe them all out indiscriminately, disrupting your skin barrier in the process. Petrichor is formulated differently. We use ingredients that target the bacteria responsible for odour while actively supporting the good ones. The result is skin that stays balanced, healthy and protected, not just clean.
Are aluminium salts safe?
Yes. Aluminium salts are the gold standard in antiperspirant science, extensively studied, tightly regulated and approved by health authorities worldwide. They work by reducing sweat at the source, and when used as directed, pose no risk. Based on current research, there is no established link between antiperspirant use and negative health outcomes. If you'd prefer to go aluminium-free, our Deodorising Body Spray has you covered.
Why does antiperspirant sometimes leave marks on clothes?
Two types can occur. White marks are usually just product residue and transfer onto fabric before it's fully dry. Yellow stains are a reaction between aluminium salts and sweat on fabric over time. Both are avoidable. Apply to completely dry skin and let the product dry fully before getting dressed. If yellow stains do occur, soak the fabric in a mix of white vinegar and water to neutralise the acidity, then wash as normal.
